Information provided directly
Search requests
Type a name, a location, or a similar term into a search box. That entry travels to the independent provider behind the tool. We store nothing and log nothing on our systems. The provider's own terms and privacy practices govern what happens next, so its policies are the ones to check for how a request gets handled.
Messages
Email us or send a contact message. We keep whatever is needed to read it and reply. Those messages stay inside the organization. The one exception is a legal obligation that compels disclosure.
Technical information collected automatically
Every page load sends along routine technical data. That is standard for nearly every website. Our systems and service providers receive it to keep things running, gauge performance, and track down errors when something breaks.
- Internet protocol address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- Referring page or service, when available
- Date and time of access
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies help with basic functions. They also show how the site is used. You control them. Browsers can block or delete cookies, though a few features may behave differently afterward.
How we use information
Information serves a short list of purposes here. It keeps the reference running and improving, routes search requests to the right partner service, shows which pages prove useful, and helps diagnose technical problems. Advertising on the site may also be based on interests. This site never makes decisions about a person's eligibility, rights, or opportunities.
External links and services
Links point to sheriff, jail, court, corrections, records, and other outside sites. Click one and you leave here behind. From that point on, the destination's privacy policy governs any collection or use of information. Advertising partners may also measure activity across sites through their own systems for interest-based ads. Those systems sit outside our control.
Who may receive data
Personal information is never sold here. The only sharing that happens is limited: service providers may receive what they need to perform the functions described in this notice.
- Search partners processing a submitted query
- Analytics providers measuring site performance
- Advertising networks serving or measuring advertisements
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
Security practices
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards protect the service. Even so, honesty is required here. No system connected to the internet can be promised fully secure, and no transmission or stored item can be guaranteed against access, alteration, or loss.
Visitors under 18
This site is for adults. Personal information is never knowingly collected from anyone under 18. Think a minor submitted something? Contact us, and we will review it and delete it where appropriate.
Your information choices
You hold several choices over your information. Ask what we hold about you, request a correction of anything inaccurate, seek deletion where it applies, or object to certain processing. Requests should include enough detail to identify the communication or data involved. Verification may be required before we act.
